Having gone through cancer for the 1st time 10 years ago at the age of 39 and having to go through it a second time at the age of 47 and still fighting , I can tell you 1st hand how difficult it is to accept. Aside from the fear of the disease and difficult treatments, loosing my hair was devastating. I look in the mirror and see the new me, and have to learn to accept myself with all the changes. I can't imagine how difficult it is for a child to have to face cancer and loose their hair. Purchasing a wig is not always financially possible. I am so honored that Laurie made me a part of this Gala evening. This is a wonderful foundation that gives children and adults facing cancer free wigs that in turn gives cancer patients self esteem. Please help me support such a wonderful cause. I thank you in advance.
